Preservation + Post-Disaster

At ARA we see preservation work as a privilege, and post-disaster work as a civic responsibility. The conservation of our historical context reaches beyond the cultural concern, and we work our preservation projects with the same intention of making something better than it was before.  Repair and mitigation work is a necessary endeavor, and architects are specially equipped to handle such projects from a comprehensive perspective. In the post-Maria climate, historic preservation and post-disaster projects have forced us to rethink some of our methods, to improve our process, perhaps to work a little harder at everything we do.
